Nauderer Höhenweg – A Celebration of Colors and Nature
Discover the Nauderer Höhenweg, a breathtaking hiking experience in Tirol.
Autumn Hiking on the Höhenpanoramaweg in Nauders!
As the days grow shorter and the mountains transform into a vibrant sea of colors, the Höhenpanoramaweg in Nauders offers the perfect nature experience for hiking enthusiasts. This 11 km long trail is renowned as one of the most beautiful in the region: at about 2000 meters altitude, it takes visitors on an impressive journey through the alpine world.
The Path Over the Peaks:
The tour begins at Bergkastelboden, gently ascending from the Bergkastel mountain station. Here, you follow trail no. 30, which runs through the picturesque landscape above the tree line. The path winds past babbling brooks and through ancient pine forests, creating a truly magical experience in autumn when the leaves glow in warm tones.
The trail offers not only pure natural delights but also breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain landscape. The view extends over wide, open spaces and steep slopes, which are particularly impressive at this time of year.
A Hike with Many Options:
One of the highlights of the Höhenpanoramaweg is its flexibility. Various descent options – at Valdafur, on the Stableshochboden, or in the Gamortal – allow the hike to be shortened according to one's stamina and desire. This makes it ideal for everyone, from experienced hikers to families wanting to spend a relaxing day in nature.
The Grand Finale:
The descent from Laubauner Köpfl to Labaunalm offers yet another fantastic view and leads hikers to a perfect rest spot. At Labaunalm or later at Parditschhof, hikers can recharge and enjoy the local cuisine, featuring typical Tyrolean specialties.
After a well-deserved break, trail no. 14 takes hikers back to Parditschhof and then via trail no. 14a (Munt) back to the picturesque village of Nauders.
